Wine Courses Enrolments @ Sydney Wine Academy – Ryde College

 

Ryde College is holding its February enrolments for the Sommeliers and Wine Studies Course at the college on 29th and 30th January 2009 between 1 – 7 pm.

The Wine Studies course is popular with wine retail and wholesale staff as well as the keen amateur.  The course consists of a number of nine week units covering topics such as Wine Evaluation, Wine and Beverage Service, Wine Production, Sensory Evaluation, Imported wines, Food and Wine Matching, and Australian Wine.  The part-time course is offered either one or two nights per week. Two weekend residential workshops in vineyards and wineries are included for ‘hands-on’ experience.

The Certificate III in Hospitalty - Sommelier course is a one year course for budding Hospitality workers wanting to specialise in the role of a Sommelier. Attendance is Monday day-time for one year and incorporates study for the Wine and Spirit Education Trust level 3 Advanced Certificate.
