Salon Assistant/Receptionist

This course is for people who want to gain employment as a hairdressing salon assistant or hairdressing receptionist. It will also help you gain employment as a hairdressing apprentice. The course provides you with an overview of the hairdressing industry. You will also acquire some practical skills in hairdressing. As part of the course you will be required to complete one week of work in a hairdressing salon.

Certificate III in Hairdressing– Fast Track

Certificate III (AQF) – National Code: WRH30100
This program is ideal for participants who want to work in the hairdressing industry, or who may currently be working in the industry and want to attain the necessary qualifications. This intensive, comprehensive program covers the theoretical and practical study of professional hairdressing as a full-time participant. The program satisfies all the requirements of the Certificate III in Hairdressing. NOTE: Students will be required to purchase resources for this program (currently priced at $2,167).

Certificate III in Hairdressing – Apprenticeship

Certificate III (AQF) – National Code: WRH30100
This course is for apprentices working in a hairdressing salon. You will learn how to cut, shave, colour, chemically reform and style your client's hair. You will also learn about client communication and service which includes discussing the needs of your client and styling according to their requirements. When you finish this course and the on-the-job training you will be able to work as a qualified senior hairdresser.

Specialist Hairdresser

Certificate IV in Hairdressing

Certificate IV (AQF) – National Code: WRH40106
This one semester part time program is provided to support qualified hairdressers develop more complex technical skills and team leadership skills as senior salon practitioner. It builds on the development of already completed appropriate hairdressing trade knowledge and skills.

The program gives the participant understanding of a broad knowledge base incorporating some theoretical concepts; how to apply solutions to a defined range of unpredictable problems.

The program is delivered using a combination of workshop, self based learning, portfolio work and recognition of prior learning.

Prerequisite – Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent

Creative Cut & Colour – Collection 1

Certificate IV (AQF) – National Code: WRH40106
A series of workshops provides the qualified hairdresser with a forum to develop their own skills in solving complex colour problems with designing a portfolio of creative cuts which will enhance the business of your salon.

This course represents 2 units of competency from Certificate IV in Hairdressing which will be recognised if the student chooses to gain the full qualification. WRHCL406A, WRHHC410A

Included in the price is a good quality mannequin.

Long Hair Upstyles – Collection 1

Certificate IV (AQF) – National Code: WRH40106
A series of workshops provides the qualified hairdresser with a forum to develop their own skills in designing and applying long hair design finishes which will enhance the business of your salon either for formal occasions or bridal clients.
This course represents 1 unit of competency from Certificate IV in Hairdressing which will be recognised if the student chooses to gain the full qualification. WRHHD304A

Included in the price is a good quality mannequin.

Salon Supervisor

Diploma of Hairdressing

Diploma (AQF) – National Code: WRH50106
The Diploma of Hairdressing Salon Management has been designed for owners or managers who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the service and sales delivery of a functioning hairdressing salon; to provide leadership to small teams and manage quality customer service.

The course also enables development of small business management skills required by the owner/manager of a hairdressing salon.

There are not prerequisites to this qualification
