ANNUAL WINTER WINE AND CHEESE FAIR AT RYDE COLLEGE

On 11 June 2008, over 30 of New South Wales wine producers will exhibit at TAFE NSW - Northern Sydney Institute, Ryde College's 2008 NSW Wine Fair with almost 100 different wines available for tasting.

Sommelier, Wine Studies and Event Management students from the College will take part on the day, offering wine buffs the opportunity to sample the best of the states eight wine growing regions.

Wineries taking part in this year's event include Camberwarra Estate, Cowra Estate, Helm Wines, Lowe Family Wines, Moothi Estate, Rothvale Vineyards and Vinifera Wines.

"The Ryde College NSW Wine Fair is fortunate to receive the support from a number of wineries that do not often exhibit at public wine tastings, so this gives even more prestige to the Fair," said Sydney Wine Academy Director, Clive Hartley.

"Many of the wine estates exhibiting have small production and sell either direct to the public or, perhaps, at cellar door but don't have main distribution," he said.

Running concurrently with the 2008 Ryde College NSW Wine Fair will be the popular Winemakers Dinner and a special McWilliams Wine & Cheese Workshop.

This year the Winemakers Dinner will be hosted by Krinklewood Vineyard and will showcase their biodynamic collection.

All seven courses of the exceptional degustation menu prepared by Ryde College Le Cordon Bleu cookery students will be accompanied by a specially selected glass of wine.

Krinklewood's winemaker, Ron Windrim, will guide guests through the properties of each wine. Wine connoisseurs will also have the opportunity to participate in a wine studies master class, hosted by Lowe Family Wines' Jane Wilson.
