Hair and Beauty students put their best styles forward for Miss Earth Australia
TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute’s Hair and Beauty students will take their hair and make-up designs to the stage at the 2008 Miss Earth Australia pageant. This year’s final will take place at the University of NSW on the 27 September, 2008.
Together students from Meadowbank and North Sydney College will coordinate an individual look for each of the 38 contestants. The students have spent several weeks preparing for the event and promise the audience a range of glamorous styles.
“We will be mainly creating styles using hot rollers and ‘up-styles’ for something a little more special,” says Diploma of Salon Management student, Ada Feng.
“We will be working hard to make all the girls all look like princesses.”
This year will be the second time TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute students have participated at the event.
“This is a fantastic experience and it’s great to be backstage at this event,” says Ada, who is looking forward to working with the models again.
“We had a lot of fun last year and it was a great learning experience.
“It’s a good opportunity and we are all really excited to try new things,” she added.
