Community-based organisations

NSI’s mission is to enhance the economic growth and well being of the immediate community.

Innovative projects include the new Marine and Coastal Conservation for HarbourKeepers and CoastKeepers course developed in consultation with National Parks Association for their volunteers. Successful course participants gain valuable conservation training and a formal TAFE NSW qualification.

In consultation with Sydney Water representatives, NSI is now developing a training program for field assessors involved in the ‘Love Your Garden’ initiative. Their role will be to educate Sydney home-owners on ways to reduce irrigation water usage levels.
