TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute’s Meadowbank College Hosts Hair and Beauty Job Fair
TAFE NSW – Northern Sydney Institute recently hosted the Hair and Beauty Job Fair at Meadowbank College.
This year, over eight employers attended the event, recruiting traineeship and apprenticeship students.
The job fair attracted the best in the hair and beauty industry, including representatives from Myer, Ella Rouge, Wax Factor and Vive la Beaute.
Students had the opportunity to meet industry professionals and discuss future career prospects. It is expected that over 90% of students who attended the Job Fair will gain employment within the industry as a result.
Suzanne Hattch, Head Teacher of Hair & Beauty from Meadowbank College said the event provided a valuable opportunity for students to network with employers who are looking for staff and to practice their interview skills.
“Both the students and employers get so much from the event,” said Suzanne. “The students have the chance to network with a number of employers, and the employers have the opportunity to meet the students and source potential employees.
“It’s a win-win situation and an enjoyable day for all involved.”
