Education, Language and Communication

Access and General Education is for students who need a bridge to further study and employment. Programs and courses are provided for people who wish to progress their careers or who want to enter or re-enter work or study.

Courses are available for people who wish to:

• gain a Year 12 qualification to enter higher education or the police or defence forces
• improve their written and oral communication skills to achieve a work promotion
• improve their English language skills
• enhance their employability skills including literacy, numeracy or maths
• enrol in a vocational course but lack the confidence or skills
• learn a foreign language or enhance their inter-cultural skills
• achieve a qualification to work as an interpreter or in education support or in the communication and media industry
• access disability support to complete a vocational course.

Career and employment opportunities are opened to people who previously have experienced barriers or disadvantage.
