Sparks of Joy for Electrical Trade Teacher

It has been a bright end to the year for Grahame Byrnes, Electrical Trades teacher at North Sydney College who was recently honoured with the NSW Minister for Education and Training and Australian College of Educators Quality Teaching Award.

The award along with a cheque for $500 and one year's full membership of the Australian College of Educators was presented at a function held at Government House last week.

Grahame was one of 12 teachers state wide to receive the prestigious award for his outstanding contribution to teaching.

Grahame has had extensive experience teaching, with a career in education spanning over 25 years.

Throughout his career at TAFE NSW, Grahame has developed student workbooks, written external CAT B examinations, has acknowledged contributions to the current Pearsons text for electricians, mentored new teachers and contributed greatly to the teaching section.
