Bookshop

Opening hours during term time are 9:00am - 5:00pm. College Association discounts can apply.

Cafeteria

The hours of operation during term are Monday to Friday 7:00am to 8:00pm.

Computers

There are computers available for student use. These are located in the college library.

Lockers

Lockers have been provided to store uniforms, books etc. by the Ryde College Association in the change rooms on levels 5 and 6 Building A, and in the Banksia Building (Horticulture). They are cleared nightly by security. You need your own small padlock. For security the change rooms/lockers are under camera surveillance. Change areas are provided out of camera range.

Parking

Vehicle access is off 59 Parkes Street West Ryde. $2.20 entry fee ($1.60 for Student Association members) is charged for entry to the car park. Student car and motor cycle parking available on the two lower car parking levels closest to Building H. Parking for Horticulture students available in car park on the right hand side of the roadway having entered the college grounds from Parkes Street. Student parking at the Epping Annexe is clearly marked. Drivers must give due consideration to the safety of pedestrians while on college premises. Bicycle racks are available on Level 3 near the lift entrance, Building A

Photocopying

Pay photocopy facilities are available to students in the library, H Block, Level 2 and Acacia Building

Plant Kingdom

The Plant Kingdom is a commercially operated nursery on college grounds.
Hours are: Tuesday, 11am - 2pm.
Wednesday, 11am - 2pm
Thursday, 11am - 2pm
Friday, 11am - 2pm.
10% discount to College Association Members 10% discount on Thursdays & to student card holders on any day

Public telephones are located throughout the college as follows:
Building A - Levels 5 & 6 - Phonecard/Coin.
Acacia Building - Coin only.
Banksia Building - Coin only.
Eucalyptus Building - Card only.

Restaurants - Conference Facilities

The college restaurants, conference rooms and motel facilities give full and part time students the opportunity to practise and develop professional skills in a simulated industry environment.

Showers are available for student use in the following locations:

Day or evening appointments can be made in person or by phone. If you are studying or planning to study at TAFE, Counsellors can help you with planning the best course of study for you, Austudy and Youth Allowance or dealing w th personal issues.

Disabilities Support

Disabilities Support assists in making education and training available to all. Teacher-Consultants are available to help you with pre-entry assistance, modified attendance, tutors, note takers, sign language interpreters, exam modifications, adaptive equipment and special courses. Harassment

The college has a Harassment Officer who can deal with any issues or concerns you might have.

Library

The Library offers many resources, services and facilities to students and staff. These include relevant and up-to-date collections of books, textbooks, videos and magazines, lending services, access to catalogues, database and information networks, reference services, inter-library loans, seminar and group study rooms, student access to computers including Internet, photocopiers, audiovisual equipment such as video, CD and cassette players. Library membership is free to all TAFE NSW students. Hours of operation during term time are 9:00am - 8:00pm (Mon - Thurs), 9:00am - 6:00pm (Friday)

Student Services

Cashier's Office

The Cashier's Office is open between the hours 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. From 2003, TAFE NSW campuses will NOT accept cash for payments in relation to your enrolment charges. Payment of administration fees may be made by cheque, EFTPOS, or credit card (Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa only). If paying by cheque please make payable to Northern Sydney Institute then write your name, address and course number on the reverse side.

Opening hours during term 9:00am - 5:00pm. The College Association gives members discounts at a number of shops, discount theatre and movie tickets, cheap holidays, access to sports facilities, student lounge, lockers, special library privileges and much more. Just tick college association on your enrolment form and pay $15 to join.
