Bookshop

Opening hours during term time are 9:00am - 5:00pm. College Association discounts can apply.

Computers

There are computers available for student use. These are located in the college library.

Lockers

Lockers are available at the college and may be booked through the College Association. You need to provide your own lock, which must be removed at the end of every semester.

Parking

The student car park is available at all times subject to availability of parking spaces. There are 2 entrances to the carpark, Westbourne Street off the Pacific Highway. Parking fee per entry is: College Association members $2.50 (using Park & Copy Card); UniCard (non members) $10; Coin operated $10

Photocopying

Pay photocopy facilities are available to students in the library. Laser printing and transparencies are also offered. Discounts on photocopying are available to College Association members. Just use your Park and Copy card, issued FREE when you join the College Association. Your Park and Copy Card must be charged with money before you can use it. This can be done at the machines in the library and in the Cafe.

Public Telephones

Public telephones are located throughout the college as follows:
Building P, ground floor - Coin only.
Building M, foyer - Coin only.
Building D, ground floor - Coin only Cafeteria - Card & Coin.

Sport - Recreation Facilities

A student lounge and various sporting facilities such as tennis courts, basketball courts and games rooms are provided by your College Association.

Transport

The college is within walking distance from St Leonards Railway Station and a Sydney Bus stop is located outside the College.

Employment Services

Jobplace Employment Service

Jobplace will assist you with job applications, resume preparation and interview techniques. They also have a current listing of jobs that are available in the immediate area.

Counselling Services

Day or evening appointments can be made in person or by phone. If you are studying or planning to study at TAFE, Counsellors can help you with planning the best course of study for you, Austudy and Youth Allowance or dealing with personal issues.

Disabilities Support

Disabilities Support assists in making education and training available to all. Teacher-Consultants are available to help you with pre-entry assistance, modified attendance, tutors, note takers, sign language interpreters, exam modifications, adaptive equipment and special courses.

Library

The Library offers many resources, services and facilities to students and staff. These include relevant and up-to-date collections of books, textbooks, videos and magazines, lending services, access to catalogues, database and information networks, reference services, inter-library loans, seminar and group study rooms, student access to computers including Internet, photocopiers, audiovisual equipment such as video, CD and cassette players. Library membership is free to all TAFE NSW students. Hours of operation during term time are 8.30am - 8.00pm (Mon - Thurs) and 8.30am - 5.00pm (Friday)

Student Services

Cashier's Office

Cashier's Office opening hours in term: 10:00am - 4:00pm Opening hours during enrolments: 10:00am - 7:00pm. From 2003, TAFE NSW campuses will NOT accept cash for payments in relation to your enrolment charges. Payment of administration fees may be made by cheque, EFTPOS, or credit card (Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa only). If paying by cheque please make payable to Northern Sydney Institute then write your name, address and course number on the reverse side.

Opening hours during term time are 10:00am - 8:00pm. The College Association gives members discounts at a number of shops, discount theatre and movie tickets, cheap holidays, access to sports facilities, student lounge, lockers, special library privileges and much more. Opening hours 9:00am - 5:00pm. If you want information about courses this is the best place to start. Course information officers can advise you on the courses available, can put you in contact with the best person to help you for further information on specific course content or have them contact you.

Hours 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Contact Student Administration if you have questions about enrolment, examinations, your results, your transcript of academic record, issuing your certificate on course completion.
