College Facilities
Cafeteria
The hours of operation during term time are 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.00pm on Friday.

Computers
There are computers available for student use. These are located in the College Library. Bookings need to be made at the library or by phone on + 61 2 9448 4442.

Lockers
Lockers are located in various areas around the college. You need to supply your own lock. This must be removed at the end of each Semester!
Parking
The college has one car park which is available from 7:30am to 9:30pm, Monday to Friday. Car parking stickers are available when joining the College Association. These cards are required for you to park in the College car park but do not guarantee a parking space.
Photocopying
Pay photocopy facilities are available to students in the Library. College Association members receive a 50% discount on photocopying Location: Library, Level 3
Public Telephones
Public telephones are located throughout the college as follows:
Level 1 - 2 phones outside the College Association Office
Level 2 - 2 phones halfway along the corridor
Level 1 -1 phone outside, by the West St entrance
Showers
Showers are available for student use in the following locations:
Women - Levels 1 & 2. Men - Levels 1 & 2.
Sport - Recreation Facilities
Pool table - A pool table is located in the canteen on the first level and cues are available from the canteen. A table tennis table is located on Solomon's Terrace (Level 2). Equipment is available from the College Association Office on Level 1.
Transport
The college is situated between St Leonards and North Sydney Train Stations and is also on the City and North Shore bus routes.

Jobplace Employment Service
Jobplace will assist you with job applications, resume preparation and interview techniques. They also have a current listing of jobs that are available in the immediate area.

Disabilities Support
Disabilities Support assists in making education and training available to all. Teacher-Consultants are available to help you with pre-entry assistance, modified attendance, tutors, note takers, sign language interpreters, exam modifications, adaptive equipment and special courses.
Harassment
The college has a Harassment Officer who can deal with any issues or concerns you might have.
Library
The Library offers many resources, services and facilities to students and staff. These include relevant and up-to-date collections of books, textbooks, videos and magazines, lending services, access to catalogues, database and information networks, reference services, inter-library loans, seminar and group study rooms, student access to computers including Internet, photocopiers, audiovisual equipment such as video, CD and cassette players. Library membership is free to all TAFE NSW students. Hours of operation during term time are 9:00am - 7:30pm (Mon - Wed) and 9:00am - 6:00pm (Thurs - Fri). Link to Crows Nest Library

Outreach
Outreach courses help people overcome barriers to employment, education and training. Courses take place on college and off-college in the community. Outreach courses are for those people who have little access to education through isolation, who are socially or economically disadvantaged or who have a physical or intellectual disability. Interested groups or individuals should contact the Outreach Co-ordinator.

Womens Strategy Officers
The Women's Strategy Unit for the Institute is located at Crows Nest College. The unit provides support to women by offering programs for women with particular needs and helping individual women, such as those studying in non-traditional areas.

Student Services
Cashier's Office
The Cashier's Office is open between the hours of 9:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. TAFE NSW campuses will NOT accept cash for payments in relation to your enrolment charges. Payment of administration fees may be made by cheque, EFTPOS, or credit card (Bankcard, Mastercard or Visa only). If paying by cheque please make payable to Northern Sydney Institute then write your name, address and course number on the reverse side.

College Association
Just tick College Association on your enrolment form and pay $20 to join. Student College Associations are the focus for community life at TAFE. They encourage student involvement in the college and provide such benefits as: discount internet access, sports, weekend trips, band competition, on campus entertainment, and discounts on movie or threatre tickets, parking, off campus shopping, film and processing, photocopying, laminating, binding and more. You'll quickly save much more than your joining fee and you'll have an opportunity to have your say on how we can make our colleges better for you. Open part-time during term, Monday - Thursday.

Course Information Office
Course Information Officers provide information to prospective students regarding TAFE NSW courses, the HSC, industry training, services and facilities. The office is open between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Location: Ground Floor.
Student Administration
Hours 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Contact Student Administration if you have questions about enrolment, examinations, your results, your transcript of academic record, issuing your certificate on course completion.
