Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Support Gamarada Aboriginal Education and Training Unit |
 |
NSI's Gamarada Aboriginal Education and Training Unit staff members are available to assist Aboriginal students. The word 'Gamarada' comes from the language of the Cameragal people of the Eora nation and means 'friends'.
If you want to talk to someone about what you would like to learn, what sort of training you need, or courses are available - then the team from Gamarada can help.
Working with the local community, teaching staff and students, Gamarada staff can advise you about study options in vocational education and training. They will also give you the facts about applying for courses, individual study support, and TAFE to university pathways.

Commissioned by the Institute to create a representative image for the Gamarada Unit, Kamilaroi Aboriginal artist Kevin Duncan created 'Ghiong'. The image shows a whale rising high above the water to represents the link to Sydney's northern beaches - home to Aboriginal paintings and rock carvings.
